The 1960s - Artist Book
Visual documentary of the controversial social issues in America during the 1960s. Using a concertina fold format, the book is split into two sides. The first showing graphic imagery depicting the atrocities surrounding the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War with the reverse side showcasing iconic imagery of the reaction against the war and racial segregation. The concertina format creates a seamless transition from one side to the next removing the traditional use of a beginning or end. The whole book is screen printed with a belly band to hold it together.
